The World War Key storyline will examine the lineage and future of the Locke family. “It’d be about the idea that the past is never gone… and I think a lot of ghost stories are about ways the past keep bleeding through to the present,” Joe Hill said during a panel at San Diego Comic-Con. “We’ll visit the Revolutionary War, Civil War, and World War II to show how those past events have had lingering effects on our heroes today.
The series begins with the first set, a prequel in WORLD WAR KEY: GOLDEN AGE,
IN PALE BATALLIONS WE GO.
Some of these characters have already made previous appearances in Locke & Key: Small World and Locke & Key: Guide to the Known Keys, Grindhouse, Small World, and Dog Days.
